Walkout basements on the hillier lots toward Taylorsville Road get intercept drains.

Vents, a thin builder vapor barrier and clay soil. A standard vented crawl space is not designed to stay dry in a humid Kentucky summer, whatever the age of the house. Sealing it properly is the fix at any age.
