Mold remediation
Mold remediation in Louisville, KY
IICRC-certified removal and treatment, with containment so spores do not spread through the house, and the moisture fix in the same job. Crawl spaces and basements are where we do most of it.

Signs you need it
Mold is a symptom. Moisture is the disease.
Growth on joists, beams or subfloor
White, green or black fuzz on the wood under the house. Common in Louisville crawl spaces with open vents.
Musty smell that will not leave
If the smell is strongest near floor registers or in the basement, the source is below.
Allergy symptoms that improve when you leave
Not proof of mold, but a reason to look, especially with a damp crawl space or basement.
A leak, a flood or a humidity problem
Mold needs moisture and about 48 hours. Any water event is a reason to inspect.

What we do
Contain it, remove it, treat it, and fix the water
Remediation done properly has four parts. Containment: the work area is sealed and put under negative air so spores do not travel into the living space. Removal: mold-damaged porous material (insulation, drywall, sometimes wood) comes out and is bagged. Treatment: remaining surfaces are HEPA-vacuumed, cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial, and heavily affected wood is encapsulated or replaced. Moisture: the leak, the humidity or the drainage problem that started it is corrected, usually in the same job.
We do the crawl space and basement side of mold remediation, which is where most Louisville mold lives. We do not do asbestos work; if a house needs it, we will tell you and point you to a licensed abatement contractor.

We treat the mold and the reason for the mold, as one job
We treat the mold and then fix the water, because we are the crawl space and basement company. Taking away the moisture the mold needs is what keeps a remediation job from turning into a repeat call.
- IICRC certified
- Insurance claims managed for covered water damage
- Independent testing recommended when you need lab results for a sale

Questions
Mold remediation: what people ask
Still have a question? Call the office, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
How much does mold remediation cost?
It depends on how much growth there is, how much material has to come out and what the moisture fix is; larger jobs that include a full encapsulation are priced as one scope. Every job is priced in writing after a free inspection, and the cost guide has typical Louisville ranges and a calculator for planning.
Do you test for mold?
We inspect, identify visible growth and measure moisture. For lab testing, especially for a real estate transaction, we recommend an independent tester so the results are unbiased and nobody is grading their own work.
Is the mold in my crawl space affecting my health?
It can affect indoor air quality and it always means there is a moisture problem. We will not diagnose your health, but we will show you the growth, explain the moisture cause and give you a plan.
Will it come back?
It is far less likely once the moisture is fixed. That is why we build the drainage, barrier or dehumidifier into the same job. Treating mold without fixing the water is a temporary fix.
Does insurance cover mold remediation?
Sometimes, when the mold resulted from a sudden covered water loss. We manage the claim documentation for covered jobs.
